Summer Board Reaches 44 Pct Median; ODF Closes Middle Sager

Middle Sager (ODF) sold September 15, the newest result on a board that now counts 38 completed sales since July 15. The period covers 94,526 MBF in state volume and a green sawtimber median of 44 percent over the appraised minimum. No price, volume or bidder-count data for Middle Sager has been published as of this issue.

MT DNRC's Northwestern Land Office posted the period's two highest per-unit premiums on blowdown salvage:

• Short Star Blowdown (MT DNRC, Northwestern Land Office): cleared $35.10/ton against a $12.00/ton per-unit minimum, 193 percent over the per-unit minimum with 3 bidders. Total high bid $87,399 against a $29,880 total minimum.
• Butcher Blowdown (MT DNRC, Northwestern Land Office): cleared $34.86/ton against a $12.00/ton per-unit minimum, 191 percent over the per-unit minimum with 4 bidders. Total high bid $83,838 against a $28,860 total minimum.
• King (WA DNR): period-high volume at 54,547 tons. Total high bid $1,520,770.
• No competition: 5 WA DNR sales drew no qualifying bid this period, including Country Boy, Bakers Dozen and Q Parody Peak.
